We wanted to highlight five black Atlanta wedding vendors we absolutely adore. There’s so much that goes into a wedding and a huge part of that is your wedding vendors. Having the best vendors can do wonders and take away a bit of the chaos of the big day. Here is our recommendations and why:
Brides by Nona has a ton of experience with designer gowns and has been featured in several magazines, including VOGUE. They have dresses that range in style from mermaid to ballgown and they offer full customization of any dress design. They also sell bridesmaids, mother of the bride, and mother of the groom dresses.
Not only do they have dresses, but they have veils, belts, undergarments and so much more. They work hard to make wedding dress shopping a magical experience for every bride. The average price of a gown is $7,000.
A favorite black-owned Atlanta wedding vendor of ours is The B Suite. The B Suite offers 1,500 square feet of beautiful exposed bricks, high ceilings, and impeccable service. Their venue can hold up to 60 guests and are open to micro-weddings as well. Some of their extra perks include unlimited free wifi, setup, and takedown, as well as a professional staff to handle all of your needs.
The B Suite offers two packages varying by guest size, hours needed, and staff size. Their smaller package is $9,500 while their bigger package is $12,500.
Just in case you didn’t know, we are black-owned! Beyond the Decor is an event design and wedding planning business. Our services include full consultation with the couple, help with vendors, budget management, and setup and takedown. We specialize in lighting, draping, and making custom party items. We work with wedding couples to offer three types of packages, a full planning package, a partial wedding package, and a day-of coordination package.
Cakes by La’Meeka offers custom cake designs and a wide selection of flavors including white creme, dark chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and red velvet. There are several goodies to add on such as chocolate-covered strawberries and sugar paste decorations. They custom make each cake and La’Meeka likes to meet each couple in person for the tasting to be sure the couple gets the cake of their dreams.
Pricing for the custom cakes comes at a custom price. Each serving costs at least $13.50 and there is a minimum of 40 servings.
Fotos by Fola is another favorite black-owned Atlanta wedding vendor. Fotos by Fola is a professional, award-winning business that can provide two photographers for a wedding, engagement shoot, and more. They will travel to you and take all their photos in digital and raw format.
The wedding packages also include an online gallery and an engagement session starting at $4,800.
